CHRIS + ABIGAIL
On the 27th December 2013 Chris and Abigail tied the knot in Stamford and celebrated this glorious event in true Christmas spirit. Christmas carols were sung in the service, mistletoe was found everywhere, mulled wine was served and the 12 days of Christmas was the running theme throughout the day. Douglas Fry captured the day perfectly so here are some snaps to fascinate and inspire.
The venue was The George Hotel of Stamford, which is one of the most magical places to be at Christmas time. The decorations are second to none, the large open fire is always raging in the lounge and the atmosphere is very Merry.
The invitations plus all the other items for the day were themed around the 12 days of Christmas. The two turtle doves were a reoccurring design as the wedding was on the 2nd day of Christmas and Abigail & Chris were of course the two love birds. The invitations and RSVPs were DL sized card with white ink printed on luxury GFSmith jet black card and complimented with a white DL information card all tied together with black and white bakers twine and finished with a tag featuring the A and C monogram.
The dress was from Le Spose Di Gio, as was the head piece stunning white fur shawl. The perfect winter wedding dress and accessories for a cold and crisp December day complimented by peep toe Jimmy Choo’s.
The bridesmaids wore black sequinned floor length dresses from Damsel in Distress and the 3 young flower girls all wore crochet and lace dresses from Monsoon with flower crowns in their hair. We created beautiful handkerchief gifts for each of the flower girls which were printed with a beautiful poem in blue ink so one day they can become each girls ‘something old’ and ‘something blue’ for their own wedding day.
